Welcome to the Dysphagia Research Society! We are delighted to have you as a member of our organization.

I attended my first DRS meeting in 1996, and immediately knew that I wanted to become part of this community, committed to pursuing research that will ultimately benefit people with dysphagia. I have not missed a meeting since! As the 2024-2025 President, it is my sincere hope that you will also feel at-home in DRS and will enjoy the benefits of being a DRS member.

At our annual meeting, you can look forward to connecting with colleagues from all around the world and learning about the current hot topics in dysphagia research. DRS offers amazing opportunities to network with researchers, clinicians and trainees through our conference and mentorship activities.

As a member, you also have the opportunity to become involved in our DRS committees and activities, from conference and educational event planning to trainee mentorship to policy development on important topics like diversity, equity and inclusion (just to name a few).  We look forward to your participation!

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
