Conference Bursaries

DRS is proud to join with several partners to support a variety of travel bursaries.

Each conference bursary provides $500 towards travel to attend the DRS annual meeting.

Applicants may apply for only one category, and past awardees of these funds are not eligible to apply.

The titles, eligibility criteria, and number(s) of available funds are provided below:

CSDRG Logemann Conference Bursary (2 available)

Eligibility:
Doctoral trainee in speech-language pathology and/or communication sciences within North America. 2 available.

Springer Publishing Conference Bursary (3 available)

Eligibility:

  • Doctoral trainee in speech-language pathology (SLP) and/or communication sciences and disorders (CSD) from and/or completing their training program outside of North America. 1 available.
  • Physician or other (non-SLP) trainee (i.e., within five years of your training period: MD; residency; clinical or research fellowship) from any location. 2 available.
Dysphagia Research Society Conference Bursary (4 available)

Eligibility:

  • Member of the DRS Pediatric Special Interest Group. Open to all professional levels, including trainees. 1 available.
  • Newcomer (first-time in-person DRS attendee) from any field. Not open to trainees. 3 available.

Application

 

The deadline to apply for the 2025 33rd DRS Annual Meeting is September 30, 2024.

Notifications to recipients will go out by end of October.
