CSDRG Logemann Travel Grant

Dr. Jeri Logemann was a pioneer in research related to dysphagia. In 1996 she founded the Communication Sciences and Disorders Clinical Trials Research Group (CSDRG). The goal of CSDRG is to advance the scientifically-based assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. This travel grant honors her career and memory by seeking applications from junior investigators (students or investigators within 5 years of their terminal degree) who are conducting research to further the evidence-base of the profession.

  • Applicant must have submitted and be accepted for either a paper or poster presentation.
  • Applicant must be presenter and first author on the submission.
  • Applicants must be presenting either for the first or second time at DRS.
  • Applicants must provide proof that they are either a current student or an early career investigator within 5 years of their terminal degree – PhD or MD.

The applicant must provide the following documents to the review committee:

  1. Letter of Intent: A personal statement explaining how attending the Annual DRS Meeting will help your clinical and/or research career goals in 250 words or less.
  2. Curriculum Vitae

NOTE: Previous recipients of this award and previous/current recipients of the Springer Publishing Junior Investigator Travel Grant or the DRS Sponsor-A-Student campaign will not be eligible (i.e. there is a lifetime limit of one travel grant per candidate).
