Intuition, Decision and Precision:

The Role of Clinical Reasoning, Expertise & Big Data in Predicting and Managing Dysphagia

Our morning session will explore the art and science of intuition and the impact clinical reasoning and expertise have on everyday clinical decision-making. Join us as we explore our minds and how we navigate patient care. In the afternoon, we will explore the rapidly growing field of precision medicine and how big data can be used to help us make big decisions about individual care by exploring the impact of genes, environment and lifestyle on disease risk and dysphagia.

Didactic presentations for each session will be followed by clinical grand rounds, where experts will break down their decision-making process with challenging cases. We are finalizing an exceptional line-up of faculty to provide new insights into how we think and why we can predict a brighter future for our patients.

And back by popular demand…we will have an afternoon concurrent session focused on building successful research careers for Early Investigators.

Main Course Overview

Our Annual Meeting will be filled, as always, with cutting edge scientific research presentations—from poster to podium. In addition, we will have invited presentations from experts around the world on Multidisciplinary Approaches to Tracheostomy Management, Esophageal Dysphagia Across the Lifespan, and Novel Approaches in the Future of Clinical Dysphagia Practice.
