Case Description: J.K. is a 46yo fire fighter who sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) on the job. He required mechanical ventilation for 3 weeks and was recently discharged from the skilled nursing facility after a 2-month hospitalization. He presented to the Swallow Center at the University of California, Davis dependent on enteral tube feedings administered through a PEG tube for 100% of his nutritional support.
